I hope all you mum’s had a lovely day yesterday. Mother’s day can be difficult. Not everyone has their mothers still around, but it is nice to think of them and to wish well all the mothers of the world. And if you are a mum yourself, to take a moment to relax, put your feet up, and reflect on the challenging and rewarding life that it is.
I often have days (weeks) when I find being a mum very difficult, the responsibility and the not knowing if you are getting it right, and feeling like you are messing it up big-time weighs heavy. I think we all have this doubt sometimes.
I was lucky to have my own mum come to visit for a coffee. My eldest son called, which lifted my spirits because I hadn’t heard from him in a while. I was given this lovely homemade card by Emily, Oreos (I am a biscuit fiend). And also this sweet jar of ‘reasons why I am loved’ – including: I let them ‘lick the bowl when baking’, and I ‘help with homework’!
It seems it’s the little things that count. 🙂
